Overview

Cleaning Operative – Location: Newbridge, Co. Kildare. Contract: Permanent, Full-time (shift-based). Salary: €13.50 - €15.50.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at a busy production and manufacturing facility in Newbridge, Co. Kildare. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality cleaning services that meet strict food and safety standards, helping us maintain a safe and hygienic workplace.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team, reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor, with shift patterns across mornings, afternoons, and nights. Fixed shifts can be discussed at interview.

What You’ll Do
  • Carry out cleaning duties across production and manufacturing areas to audit-ready standards.
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment safely and effectively (training provided).
  • Follow cleaning schedules, colour coding, and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and COSHH regulations.
  • Report hazards, near misses, and equipment faults promptly.
  • Support site operations where needed (e.g. setting up town halls, furniture moves).
  • Represent Sodexo professionally, supporting client satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 2 years’ experience in cleaning services (preferred).
  • Experience in food production or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
  • Trained in Manual Handling and basic COSHH awareness.
  • Experience using industrial cleaning equipment (e.g. scrubber dryers, wet vacs, ride-on machines).
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow written procedures in English.
  • Full Irish driving licence desirable.
