Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I and Compass Group Ireland, is recruiting a full-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams. The role is contracted to 35 hours per week, with shift patterns 5 out of 7 days, supporting our clients and customers to maintain safe, hygienic environments.

As a cleaner you will dust, sweep, mop and sanitise touchpoints, restock supplies, and support standard cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• Brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role.
• Experience in cleaning is preferred but not essential.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic.
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Sanitising surface areas, floors, windows and other touchpoints regularly.
• Performing additional cleaning duties as required, such as mopping up spillages quickly.
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste.
• Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our Ideal Cleaner Will

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
