Matrix Recruitment is seeking candidates for an CivilEngineering Manager role on behalf of our client, in County Laois.

You will be in a leadership position overseeing the engineering function across multiple civil and infrastructure projects — ensuring quality, safety, and technical excellence from design through delivery.

Your New Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring high technical and safety standards across projects.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to site and project engineers.
• Oversee designs, temporary works, and QA processes in compliance with Irish regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, local authorities, and site teams to resolve technical challenges and support delivery.

What You Need:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Chartered Engineer (CEng MIEI) or working towards.
• 7+ years’ experience in delivering civil infrastructure projects in Ireland (roads, utilities, groundworks, or similar).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of Irish standards, Public Works Contracts, and NEC contracts.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, surveying instruments, and planning tools.
