Job summary

Egis is seeking a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our Cork-based Development Infrastructure team. You will contribute to planning, design and delivery of residential and commercial development projects across Ireland, working with senior engineers and project teams.

The successful candidate will bring drainage and infrastructure design experience, proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD, and a willingness to liaise with authorities and clients across Cork region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant civil engineering experience.
• Experience in foul and surface water drainage design.
• Experience in watermain design.
• Experience using MicroDrainage or equivalent drainage modelling software.
• Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D.
• High level of competency in AutoCAD.
• Experience working to Uisce Éireann design and construction standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Full driving licence and availability to attend client offices and sites throughout the Cork region.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering designs for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
• Design foul water, surface water and watermain infrastructure networks.
• Produce drainage strategies, calculations and technical drawings.
• Prepare design reports, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Support planning, tender and construction-stage project activities.
• Attend client meetings and site visits.
• Liaise with local authorities, Uisce Éireann and other stakeholders.
• Assist with construction-phase queries and technical support.
