Job summary

COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT CHILDCARE NETWORK LIMITED in Ireland offers a developmental opportunity in a childcare kitchen environment. No prior experience is required as accredited training will be provided to support your career progression.

You will assist with kitchen hygiene, health and safety compliance, and general cleaning to maintain a safe and clean environment for the children and staff. Garda vetting and character references are required, with eligibility verified by the Department.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to participate on CE; generally age 21+ with qualifying welfare payment for 1 year or 18+ for certain groups
• Prepare character references and Garda vetting documentation
• No experience required; accredited training provided to support career advancement

Responsibilities

• Kitchen management including hygiene control (HACCP procedures)
• Ensure Health and Safety standards are met
• Assist in care and maintenance of equipment
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment for children in kitchen and service area
• Co-operate in fire drills and safety routines
• Clean toilets and hand basins; general cleaning duties
• Attend training as required for the role
• Hoover and sweep floors as appropriate
• Clean all surfaces and door handles
