Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Duties will include assisting in the day-to-day running of our child care center and providing a stimulating and varied programme of activities, ensuring the well-being of the child. Training provided in childcare QQI level 5, placement available to a maximum of three years to allow you to gain childcare Practitioner qualification and to get the relevant work experience. The CEC (Community Employment Childcare) programme is available to participants to include children up to 13 years of age. Good command of the English language-writer and spoken-is desirable. Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
