About Our Client

The employer is an established organisation within the services sector based in Dublin. As an investor-backed, medium-sized company, they have a strong existing market presence that they are looking to grow both organically and through acquisition.

Job Description
  • Act as a key strategic leader on the board, driving alignment between financial and operational performance to consistently meet targets.
  • Lead the small well qualified finance function ensuring it meets the needs the business with a continued focus on the creation of shareholder value.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of all financial reporting and management information to enable prompt appraisal of business performance at any time.
  • Develop robust and first class cash flow management processes across multiple business units.
  • Drive improvements to deliver high quality financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes using systems, reporting tools and AI.
  • Partner with the CEO to translate commercial strategy into financial plans, bringing clarity, challenge and discipline to decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with all stakeholders including private equity investors and lenders ensuring transparency and confidence in financial reporting.
  • Play a leading role in M&A activity, including working with advisors, evaluating acquisition targets, and overseeing integration to support the business's buy-and-build strategy.
The Successful Applicant

The successful Chief Financial Officer should have:

  • Proven experience as CFO or senior finance leader in a PE-backed or high-growth environment of a similar size and scale.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with a close-knit, values-driven culture.
  • Ability to act as a strategic partner to a commercially driven CEO, bringing financial rigour to ambitious growth plans.
  • Hands-on approach with deep understanding of financial operations and team outputs.
  • Track record of delivery of timely, accurate and comprehensive financial and management information.
  • Track record of successfully implementing first class cash flow management processes.
  • Technical grasp (e.g. multi-currencies) of cross-border business operations across Ireland, UK and Europe including consolidations and forecasting.
  • Prior exposure to M&A transactions, either directly or through a background in corporate finance.
  • A professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
