Job summary

New Ireland Assurance, part of the Bank of Ireland Group, seeks a Head of Compliance & MLRO to lead the Compliance function and provide independent oversight across the business. Reporting to the CRO, you will strengthen regulatory and financial crime controls while shaping the compliance agenda for Ireland's leading life insurer.

You will engage with the Board and regulators, guiding risk and customer outcomes, with a track record in regulated financial services and a strong governance mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience leading compliance, AML/CFT or risk management in a regulated financial services environment.
• Experience with PCF12 and PCF52 fitness & probity requirements.
• Ability to engage with Boards, Executive teams, regulators and senior stakeholders on complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance New Ireland's compliance, conduct risk, AML/CFT/CFT frameworks and ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and business priorities.
• Deliver the annual Compliance Plan with monitoring, assurance and thematic review activities.
• Provide independent oversight, advice and challenge on regulatory compliance, conduct risk and customer outcomes.
• Act as MLRO and senior regulatory contact, leading regulatory engagement and governance reporting.
• Lead and develop the compliance team and embed the Risk Management Framework across New Ireland and the Group.
