Job Overview

Working hours are 0900‑1730 (Tue‑Fri) & 0900‑1630 (Sat) OR 0900‑1730 (Mon‑Thu) & 0900‑1630 (Sun).

We have two positions available for this role. Both roles are 12‑month fixed‑term contracts.

This is an entry‑level role with no previous experience required. Full training will be provided.

As a Chemistry Analyst you will perform various analytical tests on dairy, food, feed and agricultural samples using a variety of test methods and techniques in a busy INAB accredited food and dairy chemistry contract laboratory.

You will also assist with sample handling, preparation and data entry and approval using LIMS, ensuring requirements of quality system, ISO 17025 and INAB are adhered to in all activities.

Main Duties

• Undertake day‑to‑day effective, accurate and efficient processing of workload in the food chemistry laboratory and perform tasks assigned by the Senior Laboratory staff.
• Adhere to regulations and laboratory policies regarding health and safety and maintain a clean and hygienic working environment.
• Handle and test samples for various dairy and nutritional tests according to documented procedures, including attention to sample preparation, temperature control, storage and prevention of cross‑contamination.
• Maintain accurate and systematic records of testing.
• Report any faults to the Laboratory Supervisor.
• Participate in the training programme, undergoing further training as required and participating in schemes to ensure on‑going competence.
• Comply with all aspects of Eurofins H&S policy.
