Windmill Healthcare is seeking an experienced Chef for our Clarinbridge Care Centre, Co. Galway. You will join a team delivering nutritious meals for residents with attention to dietary and cultural needs.

Reporting to the Head Chef and Nursing Director, you will work 8.00am–6.00pm with no evening shifts. This role offers an induction program, ongoing training, Garda Vetting, and career progression within Windmill Healthcare Group.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Healthcare, nursing home or institutional catering experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and allergen management.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook meals to meet residents’ dietary needs, including IDDSI textures.
• Plan, review and update menus for nutrition and choice.
• Maintain HACCP compliance, allergen labelling and safety records.
• Manage kitchen records, temperature logs and stock control.
• Lead, support and develop kitchen staff.
• Engage with residents/families to tailor menu preferences.
