Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer to join their team in Limerick. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects in healthcare, education, and industrial sectors, managing technical, managerial, and commercial aspects of engineering projects.

The ideal candidate should have 5-7+ years of experience and be chartered or close to applying for chartership, with a level 8 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A positive work environment with excellent mentoring awaits!

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years’ experience in structural engineering.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical, managerial, and commercial aspects of projects.
• Work as part of a team on a broad range of national and international structural engineering projects.

Skills

Chartered Engineer status or close to chartership

Familiarity with Tekla Structural Designer

Familiarity with SCIA

Familiarity with TEDDS suite

Familiarity with CADS suite

Familiarity with Revit

Familiarity with AutoCAD

Understanding of Irish regulatory and policy issues

Education

Level 8 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent

Chartered Structural Engineer:

Structural Engineer with 5–7+ years’ experience required to join one of the largest Irish‑owned consultancies with a diverse client base across an increasingly broad range of industry sectors. Projects include Healthcare, Education, Industrial and Pharmaceutical. The successful Structural Engineer will be working as part of a team on the design of a broad range of national and international structural engineering projects. You will be responsible for the technical, managerial and commercial aspects of your project. This company offers a really positive work environment with great mentoring.

• Large Residential Development – 597 units – Value: €162M
• Highrise office buildings – Value: €35M-€100M
• Education – Various education buildings – Value: €15M-€38M
• Healthcare – Various healthcare projects – Value: €13M – €150M

Ideal experience

• A level 8 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• The successful Structural Engineer will be chartered or close to applying for chartership.
• Familiarity with Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA, TEDDS suite, CADS suite, Revit and AutoCAD.
• The successful candidate will have an understanding of the Irish regulatory and policy issues.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland.
