Job summary

Beaumont Hospital is seeking a Catering Team Leader to oversee wards, staff restaurants and production areas, ensuring high standards of service and compliance with HACCP. You will lead a team, coordinate tasks with Catering Officers and support training to maintain quality across the hospital sites.

The role requires strong leadership, at least five years in hospital catering, and robust computer literacy. It offers a Band 1 scale, a 39-hour week, and a permanent contract in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a hospital catering department.
• Must have demonstrated computer literacy skills.
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ward Level: ensure staff on duty in uniform and on time, coordinate supplies and training, liaise with Catering Officers.
• Staff Restaurant: manage staff assignments, monitor service, update menu boards, supervise cash handling.
• Production Areas: ensure staffing, equipment checks, hygiene, HACCP compliance and stock rotation.
• General: maintain flexibility, follow management instruction, participate in training and policy adherence.
