3Q Recruitment is hiring a Catering Assistant to join a busy healthcare facility in Dublin 18, supporting the safe preparation, delivery and service of nutritious meals for patients and staff. This is a frontline healthcare catering role where your work directly contributes to patient comfort, recovery and daily clinical operations. You will work as part of a professional catering team, maintaining high hygiene standards and assisting patients respectfully during mealtimes. This role suits candidates with catering assistant, kitchen assistant or food service experience who are seeking daytime shifts, stable hours and long-term opportunities within healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages to patients and staff
  • Deliver meals to wards and assist patients during mealtimes with care and respect
  • Maintain cleanliness across kitchens, trolleys, equipment and utensils
  • Follow HACCP, food safety and infection control procedures at all times
  • Stock, label and rotate ward pantry supplies correctly
  • Work closely with catering teams, ward staff and supervisors to ensure smooth service delivery
Requirements
  • 6–12 months’ experience in catering, kitchen assistant or food service roles
  • Healthcare or hospital catering experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
  • Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
  • Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references
  • Strong communication skills, reliability and a team-focused approach
  • Flexibility to work daytime shifts across a weekly roster
Salary & Benefits
