Job summary

Aptiv Ireland is seeking a Senior Global Category professional to support category strategy execution and end-to-end sourcing activities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to run RFQs, supplier selections, negotiations, and risk management under the Global Category Leader.

Based in Ireland, you will build strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply, quality and compliance, while maximizing favorable terms and contracts in a matrixed organisation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of category management experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment or minimum 10 years of sourcing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
• Expert sourcing, contracting and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Used to working in a matrixed organization with direct and dotted line reporting structures above and below.

Role Overview

The key responsibility of this role is to support Global Category Manager in effective execution of the category strategy to deliver best outcome for Aptiv. This person will work closely with cross functional teams to run end to end sourcing activities to achieve target performance. Key accountability for this role is to run RFQ, supplier selection, commercial and contractual negotiations and risk management. This role will report into Global Category Manager.

Global Category Leader
