Job summary

Boots Ireland is seeking a Category Assistant to support the Healthcare category within the Trading function in Dublin. You will report to the Category Manager and work with the Healthcare and wider Irish teams to drive category performance in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on delivering business priorities, supplier management, and supporting new product launches in Ireland with some travel to Boots UK.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Good Excel skills and data analysis experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
• Passion for Healthcare and buying.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Healthcare category budget, sales, and promotional plans.
• Manage supplier and product set-up on internal systems.
• Provide store support through effective communication and problem-solving.
• Produce weekly sales performance reports.
• Build relationships with Boots UK Healthcare teams to support UK-led initiatives.
• Identify local opportunities and support new product launches in Ireland.
• Attend supplier meetings and occasionally travel to Boots UK headquarters.

Join a dynamic team at the heart of Boots Ireland’s Trading function. As customer needs evolve, we’re focused on using insights and trends to deliver the most comprehensive Health & Wellness offering in the Irish market.

Reporting to the Category Manager, the Category Assistant work closely with the Healthcare and wider Irish Trading teams, supporting category performance and delivering business priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Healthcare category budget, sales, and promotional plans.
• Manage supplier and product set-up on internal systems.
• Provide store support through effective communication and problem-solving.
• Produce weekly sales performance reports.
• Build relationships with Boots UK Healthcare teams to support UK-led initiatives.

What You'll Need

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• A passion for Healthcare and an interest in developing a career in buying.

Desirable

• Experience in a category assistant or trading support role.
• Knowledge of Healthcare products, regulations, and medicinal licensing.
• Previous Healthcare trading experience and strong presentation skills.
