Job summary

LOCD LIMITED in Ireland seeks a skilled Carpenter & Joiner to work from architectural drawings, cutting lists and specifications to plan materials, dimensions and installation sequences. You will measure, mark out, cut and shape timber, sheet materials and engineered wood products using hand and power tools, ensuring accuracy and quality in every cut.

The role covers first-fix tasks (floor joists, roof structures, stud partitions) and second-fix work (doors, staircases, skirting, architrave).

Qualifications

• Reading architectural drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and measurement accuracy.
• Ability to work from cutting lists and plans.

Responsibilities

• Work from architectural drawings, cutting lists and specifications to plan materials.
• Measure, mark out, cut and shape timber, sheet materials and engineered wood products.
• First-fix tasks: floor joists, roof structures, stud partitions and timber framing.
• Second-fix tasks: doors and linings, staircases, skirting, architrave and fitted units.
• Fit manufactured joinery and check level, plumb and alignment.
• Form joints and choose appropriate fixings, adhesives and finishes.
• Construct and strike formwork and temporary timber structures when needed.
• Repair and refurbish existing timber and match profiles.
• Coordinate with site management and other trades to keep to programme.
• Maintain safety, PPE and proper tool handling on site.
