Overview

Skerries Mills are searching for a Caretaker to assist in the installation and maintenance of the natural environment around the Mills. This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Duties

• Maintaining gardens and lawns. Caring for and cultivating foliage including planting, fertilising, weeding, watering, trimming and pruning; soil conditioning and applying pesticides.
• Ensuring pathways, stairs, indoor seating and other structures are safe.
• Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing and tying down unsecured items, etc.
• Operating and maintaining on-site equipment.
• Inspecting all community spaces daily to identify problems with litter.
• Responding to requests from property managers and maintenance services as needed.
• Ensuring the parking lot and sidewalks are free from litter and debris.
• Maintaining sprinkler system and trash receptacles on the premises.
• Managing general maintenance tasks related to the grounds.
