Job summary

IRD North Mayo West Sligo Ltd in Ballina is offering a developmental role for a Caretaker/Cleaner (19.5 hrs per week). No experience is required as accredited training will be provided to support your career.

The role covers indoor maintenance, cleaning of the Centre and meeting room facilities, outdoor upkeep of gardens and exterior areas, and assisting the Centre Manager with health and safety. You will greet visitors and work in a supportive team, developing new skills through varied tasks.

Qualifications

• Essential skills include clear communication, a professional and friendly manner, and good English language skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and reliability are important for daily tasks.
• Full training will be provided to support development in the role.

Responsibilities

• Indoor maintenance and general indoor cleaning of the Centre and meeting room facilities, including event setup and basic DIY tasks.
• Outdoor maintenance for the Centre’s outside spaces, gardens and exterior areas, with regular cleaning and painting as required.
• Assist the Centre Manager to maintain health and safety standards and greet visitors when needed.
