Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

The role of the Care Assistant will be to assist service users individually or in small groups to access programmes within the service. Duties will include supporting service users to participate in centre based programmes, e.g. arts and crafts, gym/physiotherapy, music therapy, animal assisted therapy, sports and cookery and also to access social and leisure facilities within the community. Supporting service users with personal care is required. All relevant training will be provided and certified.
