Job summary

Sunbeam House Services in Bray, County Wicklow, invites applications for a Care Assistant in a Residential setting. You will support clients to achieve personal outcomes, build on potential, and develop positive roles within the service and community. Working hours are Monday to Sunday.

The role requires a passion for promoting and empowering those you support, a team spirit with willingness to lone work, knowledge of HIQA standards, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Major QQI Level 5 in healthcare or foreign equivalent
• Passion for promoting and empowering those you support
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and legislation
• Full driving licence with access to a car
• Post-qualification experience with adults with intellectual disability desirable
• Legal right to work in Ireland

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our services in a Residential setting in Bray, County Wicklow. As a Care Assistant, you will be involved in supporting clients to achieve their personal outcomes to build on their potential and to develop positive roles within their residential service and community. Working hours will be Monday to Sunday.

Requirements: Applicants must hold a minimum of Major QQI level 5 in healthcare or foreign equivalent (validated by QQI)
Applicants must have:

• A passion for promoting and empowering those you support
• A team player wiling to lone work as well as working as part of a team
• A knowledge of the HIQA standards and relevant legislation
• Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car
• Post qualification experience of working with adults with intellectual disability is desirable
• A legal right to work in Ireland
  

Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid as per the HSE consolidated pay scales in line with required qualifications and relevant experience.
