Job summary

A leading workplace solutions provider in Connacht seeks a Calibration Technician to ensure accuracy and compliance of instruments and equipment. The successful candidate will perform calibration and testing, maintain records, and assist in troubleshooting while ensuring adherence to company and industry standards. Qualifications include a degree in instrumentation or relevant experience in cleanroom environments.

Qualifications

  • Time served as Instrumentation or Electrical Instrumentation apprenticeship or a degree in instrumentation or equivalent.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical cleanrooms or similar environment.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, testing, and adjustments on instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration results and certificates.
  • Identify and report equipment that does not meet required tolerances.
  • Ensure all calibration work follows company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to schedule calibration activities and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues related to measurement accuracy.
  • Maintain calibration tools, reference standards, and the calibration database.
  • Support audits and quality assurance initiatives related to calibration.

Purpose of the Job

The CBRE Calibration Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, and calibrating instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry and company standards. This role helps maintain product quality and equipment reliability by performing regular calibration and documentation of measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration, testing, and adjustments on instruments and equipment (e.g., pressure gauges, temperature sensors, scales, and electrical meters).
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration results and certificates.
  • Identify and report equipment that does not meet required tolerances.
  • Ensure all calibration work follows company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to schedule calibration activities and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues related to measurement accuracy.
  • Maintain calibration tools, reference standards, and the calibration database.
  • Support audits and quality assurance initiatives related to calibration.
Knowledge / Skills / Competencies
  • Time served as Instrumentation or Electrical Instrumentation apprenticeship or a degree in instrumentation or equivalent.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical cleanrooms or similar environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with Maximo.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of calibration principles and standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
