Job summary

EGIS is seeking a CAD Technician in Ireland to produce drawings or models using Autodesk tools, under the guidance of Senior Engineers. The role involves coordinating with engineers, site teams, and managing xrefs within drawing packages to ensure accurate, constructible designs for civil and infrastructure projects.

The candidate should have essential Autodesk CAD knowledge, experience with CAD standards, and familiarity with a Common Data Environment (ProjectWise, ACC, DALUX) to support

Qualifications

• Essential knowledge of Autodesk drawing tools and CAD standards as instructed by the Senior Engineer.
• Experience using a Common Data Environment: ProjectWise, ACC, DALUX would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of road design principles and Active Travel projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings or models using Autodesk software.
• Coordinate with Senior Engineers and design engineers on projects.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project team to ensure constructible designs.
• Maintain file organisation with multiple xrefs in drawing packages.

Job Description

CAD Technician

Produce drawings or models using Autodesk software. This role will require working with and for the relevant Senior Engineers and design engineers.

Essential knowledge of drawing software tools – Autodesk

File organisation - Creation and management of multiple xrefs into drawing packages.

Experience creating construction drawings of plans, sections and typical details.

Experience of CAD Standards and applying them to projects has instructed by the Senior Engineer.

Coordinating with site engineers and project team.

Working knowledge of the principles of road design and Active Travel project.

Experience of using a Common Data Environment: ProjectWise, ACC, DALUX, etc would be beneficial

Qualifications
