The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team and lead business development across Galway City and County.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based role focused on developing new accounts while managing and growing existing customer relationships. You’ll represent one of Ireland’s most respected foodservice brands — supported by a family‑run company with strong national resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a local sales strategy for Galway City & County
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across key foodservice sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximise account growth
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge across all categories
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction
  • Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and local opportunities
  • Represent Richardson’s professionally at local trade shows, food events, and customer visits

About You

You are commercially minded, self‑motivated, and thrive on building lasting partnerships in the foodservice industry. You understand the value of great products, great service, and strong relationships.

Ideal Background:

  • Proven success in foodservice, wholesale, or hospitality sales
  • OR a hospitality professional (chef, restaurant or hotel manager) eager to transition into sales
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial approach with the ability to work independently
  • Good understanding of the Galway hospitality and foodservice market
  • Full, clean driving licence
