Job Description

To deliver revenue targets by managing the organisation’s business development activities, ensuring consistent, profitable, and sustainable growth in sales across targeted service lines for the Environment Testing business in Ireland. Develops and sustains relationships with new and existing customers and key stakeholders and raises the profile of the company in Ireland by identifying and managing business development opportunities. Works with key stakeholders in the business to manage and lead the full sales cycle from lead generation, tendering, contract award, and handover to operations for delivery.

Strategic Growth & Market Development

Expand market share in wastewater, drinking water, soil, air, and asbestos analysis.

Identify market trends and execute strategies to capitalize on them.

Support annual sales budget planning and pricing strategy development.

Business Development & Lead Generation

Identify leads and build a strong project pipeline to meet growth targets.

Collaborate with marketing to create promotional materials and tools.

Lead tender processes and develop high-quality proposals with cross-functional input.

Client & Account Management

Manage key accounts and identify upselling or service improvement opportunities.

Act as primary contact for customer accounts.

Monitor customer satisfaction and drive service delivery enhancements.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

Prepare and deliver sales, revenue, and market activity reports.

Ensure CRM compliance and accurate reporting.

Contractual & Commercial Oversight

Lead negotiations for contracts: NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, pricing agreements, and terms.

Resolve commercial issues with support from functional leads and management.

Internal Coordination & Communication

Communicate global agreements and updates internally.

Ensure smooth handover of new projects to logistics, operations, and lab teams.

Growth & Service Expansion

Identify opportunities for service and quality improvements.

Communicate potential growth areas with site MDs and operational teams.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working within an accredited contract testing laboratory or related industry laboratory environment preferred.
  • 5+ years of customer facing sales management and key account management experience.
