Trump Golf - Doonbeg is seeking a Building Maintenance Operative to join the Facilities team. You will perform preventative maintenance across buildings, equipment and grounds, ensuring safety and compliance, and assist with carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical and plumbing repairs.

You will liaise with contractors, maintain records, support event setup, and uphold a guest-focused attitude while adapting to varying schedules, including day or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Computer literate and able to use basic maintenance tools.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitors & carries out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment and grounds.
• Ensures building and equipment meet all safety, security and fire regulations and policies.
• Performs carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repairs such as repairing furniture, constructing shelves, installing switches, replacing plugs and other basic appliance repairs, applying paint and other finishes, repairing drywall, disassembling and re-assembling equipment, replacing sinks and toilets.
• Monitors work performed by contractors and assist with works where needed.
• Collects and removes garbage and recyclable materials and ensures the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
• Cleans external areas such as entranceways, sidewalks and parking lots using manual and power hoses, rakes, shovels and other equipment to remove dirt, leaves, and other refuse.
• Complete external window washing weekly schedule.
• Completes and maintains related records such as maintenance logs and security incident reports.
• Transports equipment, furniture and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts.
• Operates a motor vehicle to pick up and move goods and supplies.
• Arranges furniture for special events.
• Report any defects, long or short term that may impact guest experience or overall business performance.
• A guest-focused attitude where some requests may need to be dealt with quickly.
• Positive attitude towards guests, colleagues, and the business.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel which can include day, evening or weekend shifts.
