Job summary

Your World is seeking a Biomedical Scientist to join an HSE hospital laboratory in Kerry. This role offers Monday to Friday hours, providing the chance to develop your experience while maintaining a great work-life balance.

Join a supportive team and contribute to high-quality patient care in a busy hospital setting. Relevant CORU registration and a recognised Biomedical Science qualification are required.

Qualifications

• CORU registration (or eligibility for registration).
• A recognised qualification in Biomedical Science.
• Previous laboratory experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Garda Vetting (or willingness to complete).
• Overseas Police Clearance, where applicable.
• Up-to-date immunisations, including Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella and TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialised laboratory testing on patient samples.
• Analyse, interpret and accurately record laboratory results.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in line with quality standards.
• Follow laboratory policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
