Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Civil BIM Technician with 3+ years’ experience to join our expanding engineering consultancy delivering projects across Ireland and internationally.

You will play a central role in producing coordinated BIM models and technical drawings, ensuring compliance with BIM standards and workflows, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and using the latest design tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience producing BIM models and technical drawings within civil/structural engineering environments.
• Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD with good knowledge of BIM standards and workflows.
• Qualification in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage accurate 3D BIM models for civil engineering projects with full coordination across disciplines.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts and schedules from BIM models to support design and construction delivery.
• Adhere to and promote internal BIM standards and workflows to maintain consistency and quality.

Job description

A Civil BIM Technician with 3+ years’ experience is required to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering projects across Ireland and internationally. The successful candidate will play a central role in producing coordinated BIM models and technical drawings across a varied portfolio of civil engineering projects. This consultancy invests strongly in its people and offers a supportive team environment with access to the latest design tools and technology.

Projects Include

• Residential and apartment developments
• Commercial and mixed-use schemes
• International engineering collaborations
• Projects spanning from €5m to €100m+ in value

Responsibilities

• Build and manage accurate 3D BIM models for civil engineering projects, ensuring full coordination across all relevant disciplines.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts and schedules from BIM models to support design and construction delivery.
• Adhere to and promote internal BIM standards and workflows to maintain consistency and quality across all project deliverables.

Requirements

• A qualification in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience producing BIM models and technical drawings within a civil or structural engineering environment.
• Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD with a good working knowledge of BIM standards and project workflows.
