Job summary

AEPL is seeking an experienced BIM Lead to define company-wide BIM standards, lead a team of modelers, and ensure seamless MEP coordination and clash resolution for complex projects.

The role requires 8–10 years in BIM modeling for MEP systems, strong Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks skills, and proven leadership capabilities to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• 8–10 years of BIM modeling experience focused on MEP systems.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD 2D, Navisworks for clash detection.
• Strong knowledge of MEP design principles and construction workflows.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Define BIM standards, BEP, and project protocols across assigned projects.
• Lead and mentor BIM engineers and modelers to deliver high-quality results.
• Coordinate MEP BIM models and resolve clashes using Navisworks.
• Conduct QA/QC of BIM models to meet technical standards and regs.
• Provide hands-on Revit modeling when deadlines require.
• Manage model data, file structures, and version control in BIM 360.
• Engage stakeholders and run coordination meetings to ensure deliverables.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary BIM Lead to spearhead our client’s Building Information Modeling initiatives. In this role, you will define company-wide BIM standards, lead a talented team of modelers, and ensure seamless MEP coordination and clash resolution for complex industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Standards & Strategy: Implement company-wide BIM standards, workflows, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and protocols across all assigned projects.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, manage, train, and mentor BIM Engineers and Modelers to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Model Coordination & Clash Detection: Oversee and coordinate MEP BIM models with other disciplines, utilizing tools like Navisworks to resolve clashes proactively.
• Quality Assurance: Review and audit BIM models to ensure strict compliance with project requirements, technical standards, and local regulations.
• Hands-on Execution & Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting support and step in to perform hands-on Autodesk Revit modeling when critical project deadlines require it.
• CDE & Data Management: Manage model data, file structures, and version control within Common Data Environments (e.g., BIM 360).
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, leading coordination meetings and ensuring deliverables (shop drawings, as-built models) are met.

Job Requirements

• Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of professional experience in BIM modeling specifically focused on MEP systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Autodesk Revit (MEP), AutoCAD 2D, and Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of MEP design principles, construction workflows, and prefabrication processes.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and managing a multidisciplinary technical team.
