Job summary

Quinn Downes Group is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support the Technical Team in delivering coordinated BIM models and construction drawings, with emphasis on the Mechanical domain. The role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail and experience in BIM coordination.

Responsibilities include producing 3D/2D coordination drawings, model finalisation, clash detection, and document control, while supporting all parties in the BIM process and attending coordination meetings on site.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or strong trades background coupled with a BIM qualification.
• REVIT MEP experience with 1–3 years in BIM coordination.
• Strong focus on MEP coordination; ability to work in a team; strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of 3D & 2D coordination drawings to meet programme.
• Detailing of 3D elements for design and coordination.
• Production of 3D model files through Revit.
• Production of 2D coordination and installation drawings.
• Ensuring model files are coordinated and clash-free.
• Take direct instructions from BIM lead on design issues.
• Administration of files and building federated models.
• Clash detection of submitted files.
• Maintain document control and registers for drawings.
• Attend coordination meetings and site surveying/verification.
• Produce verified record drawings and develop in-house BIM standards.

At Quinn Downes Group, we have an exciting opportunity for a BIM Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the Technical Team in the delivery of coordinated BIM models and construction drawings. This position requires an individual with strong technical capabilities, attention to detail, and experience in BIM coordination, particularly within the Mechanical domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of 3D & 2D coordination drawings to meet programme
• Detailing of 3D elements needed for design and co-ordination
• Production of 3D model files through Revit
• Production of 2D co-ordination and installation drawings
• Ensuring that detailed model files are co-ordinated and clash free
• Taking direct instructions from BIM lead on all design issues
• Administration of files
• Building of federated models
• Clash detection of submitted files
• Maintain and monitor document control including Updating and administrating of all co-ordination documents registers and drawings
• Support all parties working within the BIM process
• Attend co-ordination meetings
• Site surveying & verification
• Production of all verified record drawings
• Update & Develop In-House CAD/BIM standards

Desired Criteria

• 3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or strong trades background coupled with a BIM qualification
• REVIT MEP Experience with a minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience within a BIM\Co-ordination function
• Strong focus on MEP coordination essential
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong communication and organisational skills
