A leading energy utility provider in Ireland is seeking a highly motivated person to manage and develop its portfolio of battery assets and demand response business. The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification and significant experience in the energy industry, specifically in managing contracts and optimizing asset performance. This role is critical for supporting the company's net-zero strategy.

This is a maternity cover role with a contract duration of 15 months.
ESB Smart Energy Services is looking for a highly motivated and engaged person to manage and develop our portfolio of battery assets and our demand response business in Britain and Ireland.
You will have an engineering or related technical qualification and proven capability in managing customer and supplier contracts in the energy industry. You will have a good understanding of how batteries and flexible demand participate in energy markets.
You will engage with customers and suppliers to optimise the technical and commercial performance of our storage assets. You will engage with regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance. You will work with other teams in ESB to develop new opportunities.
This role is critical to achieving Smart Energy Services’ commercial and sustainability objectives, enabling the renewable transition of the electricity system, and supporting ESB’s Net Zero strategy.
This position will be based in ESB’s Head Office in Dublin or in ESB Customer Solutions office in Swift Square, Dublin 9. Some national and international travel may be required from time to time.

€57,500 - €68,100 per annum, depending on experience.
