Qualifications

  • 2 years' experience in a similar supervisory role, ideally in a hotel setting.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Fire, Health & Safety awareness and training.
  • Fluent English and full eligibility to work in Ireland.

Fota Island Resort is currently recruiting for a Bar Supervisor to join our professional Food and Beverage team in the hotel.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of food and beverage, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

What We Are Looking For
  • 2 years' experience in a similar supervisory role, ideally in a hotel setting
  • Third-level hospitality qualification or equivalent
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverage service
  • Fire, Health & Safety awareness and training
  • Strong restaurant and bar service skills; full implementation of SOPs
  • Ability to lead a team and manage functions
  • Staff management experience (labour costs, performance, attendance)
  • Fluent English and full eligibility to work in Ireland
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings

  • Provide accurate, up-to-date product knowledge to guests and staff
  • Assign stations and responsibilities during service
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
  • Ensure correct setup of the bar before service and smooth handovers
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure seamless service
