We’re hiring Cloud Engineers to join our new Cloud Centre of Excellence, helping design, migrate, and optimise secure GCP solutions while working with talented Cloud, QA, and AI teams across a regulated, multi-cloud environment.

About the job

We're seeking highly skilled and motivated Google Cloud Engineers to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform as part of a multicloud environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, resilient, scalable and secure solutions that meet business requirements.

What you’ll do

• Working closely with our IT colleagues (including Information Security, Networks, Infrastructure and Support) design, implement and maintain Google Cloud core infrastructure and resources to support our business
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD DevSecOps tools
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments ensuring high availability and performance
• Working with Information Security, assist in the implementation and management of security best practices, including access control, data encryption and threat detection
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing applications and systems
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Cloud technologies and industry best practices
• Contribute to the improvement of cloud operations and processes

What you’ll bring

• 3-5 years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer (preferrably on GCP)
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and their Google Cloud implementation including networking, storage and security as well as other concepts such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
• Experience and understanding of enterprise patterns and best practices around building out GCP for a regulated organisation (e.g. Landing Zones, Enterprise foundations blueprint, network and connectivity options, etc.)
• Proven experience with DevSecOps practices (e.g. Git, CI/CD) and tools such as Google Cloud DevOps, Cloud Build, GitHub Enterprise and GitLab
• Strong proficiency with IaC tools which must include Terraform
• Solid understanding of Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Experience with scripting languages, e.g. PowerShell, Bash and Python
• Relevant Google Cloud certifications are a plus
