Automation Engineer – DeltaV

Asset Recruitment is seeking two Automation Engineers – Delta V to join our client, a global pharmaceutical company. Reporting to the Digital MMD Project Lead with a focus on Delta V Systems, the selected candidates will collaborate closely with the Digital MMD teams managing the full Automation and IT scope, as well as with vendors and partners responsible for the delivery of DeltaV DCS.

This is a site-based role in county Tipperary.

Initial 11-month contract (with strong potential to extend until Q4 2027)

Role Functions include but are not limited to:

• Develop User requirements for Delta V modules.
• Review and Approve related Design Documentation.
• Collaborate with local site project teams to scope changes on the Delta V system.
• Engage in commissioning and qualification activities, including FATs, loop testing, onsite commissioning and testing.
• Follow the SDLC Procedure to implement changes (covering RS updates, RTM Change control, Implementation and test).
• Train local project teams on automation standards as they relate to technology selection, system configuration, SDLC, validation, hardware, software environments and business processes.
• Configure and test in development system as required.

Required:

• A BS in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree.
• 3+ years of experience in Delta V application.
• Completed training in Delta V standard and batch.
• Excellent understanding of cGMP’s, SDLC methodologies and LEAN/MPS/Sigma principles.
• Proven expertise of proficiencies associated with business analysis on capital projects.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process and technological solutions.
• Excellent problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• May sometimes be required to attend meetings at Vendor premises or other sites.
• Experience commissioning Delta V systems in GMP manufacturing facilities is an advantage.
