Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a vigilant Internal Audit professional to contribute to audits across Asset Servicing and the Enterprise Chief Operating Office. You will work with experienced auditors, applying professional skepticism to assess risks, controls, and processes, and to deliver meaningful insights that strengthen risk and control environments.

Qualified candidates have 2-4 years in internal audit or related fields, a bachelor’s degree, and strong analytical and communication skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in financial services.
• 2–4 years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Public Accounting, or Consulting within financial services.
• Strong analytical capabilities and experience using data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of audit engagements from planning through reporting.
• Develop understanding of business processes, risks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and assess risks and contribute to audit planning and prioritization.
• Execute audit testing including interviews, walkthroughs, data analysis, and control evaluation.
• Prepare workpapers and draft audit observations and recommendations.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across business, risk, and control functions.
