Job summary

ProSource Group is partnering with a well-established Cork accountancy practice to recruit an Audit Senior. You will manage a portfolio of audit assignments from planning through to completion and work closely with a varied client base.

The role offers hybrid working, a clear path for progression, and a competitive salary of €50,000–€60,000, plus 25 days leave and a structured development programme.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA with at least 1 year post-qualified audit experience.
• Experience managing audits through full audit cycle.
• Strong knowledge of Irish accounting and auditing standards.
• Good understanding of taxation principles.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact throughout the audit process.
• Planning and coordinating audit assignments, including assessing risks, setting budgets and agreeing timelines.
• Leading audits from start to finish and ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Delegating work to junior team members and reviewing their work to ensure a consistently high standard.
• Preparing and reviewing audit files ahead of Manager and Partner review.
• Identifying technical issues and providing appropriate guidance to colleagues.
• Monitoring deadlines, budgets and work in progress across your assignments.
• Building strong relationships with clients and developing a good understanding of their businesses.
• Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team.
• Identifying opportunities where additional services could benefit clients.

ProSource Group is working with a well-established accountancy practice in Cork that is looking to add an experienced Audit Senior to its team. This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant with Irish practice experience who is looking to take the next step in their audit career. You'll work closely with a varied client base, take ownership of audit assignments and have the opportunity to develop your technical and leadership skills within a supportive environment.

The Role

What We're Looking For

ACA or ACCA qualified. At least 1 year of post-qualified audit experience within an Irish accountancy practice. Strong experience managing audits through the full audit cycle. Good understanding of Irish accounting and auditing standards. Working knowledge of taxation principles. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients. Experience with CaseWare or similar audit software would be beneficial.
