Job summary

Clarity Search Partners is seeking a Senior Accountant for a busy Dublin practice. The role offers direct client exposure, oversight of junior staff, and involvement across accounts, audit and taxation in a four-day week.

You will supervise and develop a small team, with responsibility for delivering high-quality statutory accounts, audits and tax returns for a varied client portfolio.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• 7+ years' experience in a small/medium accountancy practice in Ireland or the UK.
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong experience in accounts preparation and taxation.
• Statutory audit experience.
• Ability to supervise and develop junior team members.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts through to partner review.
• Manage statutory audit assignments from planning to partner review.
• Prepare income tax and corporation tax returns.
• Provide general accounting, taxation and advisory support to clients.
• Supervise and support trainee accountants.
• Meet and engage directly with clients.
• Manage assignments independently and ensure timely, accurate delivery.

Contract: Permanent, four-day week
Salary: Up to €70,000 for a four-day week

The Opportunity

An established and busy accountancy practice in Dublin 12 is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its team.

The firm works with an interesting and varied portfolio of clients and offers a friendly, professional working environment. This is a senior position with direct client exposure, responsibility for supervising junior staff and the opportunity to work across accounts, audit and taxation.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts through to partner review stage
• Managing statutory audit assignments from planning through to partner review
• Preparing income tax and corporation tax returns
• Providing general accounting, taxation and advisory support to clients
• Supervising and supporting trainee accountants
• Meeting and engaging directly with clients
• Managing assignments independently and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
• At least seven years' experience gained within a small or medium-sized accountancy practice in Ireland or the UK
• A minimum of three years' post-qualification experience
• Strong experience across accounts preparation and taxation
• Statutory audit experience
• Ability to supervise and develop junior team members
• Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to ongoing professional development
• Ability to work independently and accurately within a busy practice environment
• Excellent written and spoken English
