The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management is seeking to appoint an Assistant Lecturer in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Applicants should have a well-developed research agenda and research output in the field of tourism and/or hospitality management. The appointee should be capable of making an immediate contribution to the programmes in the School and Faculty, particularly in respect of tourism and hospitality modules. The successful candidate will be expected to play a key role in the further development of the School’s programme offerings and research, as well as supporting programme management and development and to contribute to the growth of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management in a focused and constructive manner.
The role requires a strong ability to work on their own initiative as well as contribute and collaborate with an integrated team of professionals, with a commitment to team building.
In addition to teaching and research, the role will involve providing pastoral care to students, developing curriculum, supervising research students, and managing courses and quality assurance. Organisational, administrative, resource management, and communication skills are key to the successful delivery of this role.
