Job summary

Nua Healthcare Services, based in Drogheda, Co. Louth, Ireland, is seeking compassionate Assistant Support Workers to join our residential, day services and community outreach teams.

You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily activities, and help individuals engage with their local communities to achieve greater independence and meaningful lives. No formal qualifications are required as training is provided; a valid driving licence and flexible shift availability are essential

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are required; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Previous experience in a support role is desirable but not essential.
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting individuals to live fulfilling lives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building positive relationships.
• A full driving licence is required, or you are actively working towards obtaining one.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts to meet service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with planning and managing their daily activities and routines.
• Providing support to individuals while accessing and participating in their local community.
• Assisting individuals with education, skills development, and achieving personal goals.
• Helping individuals develop and maintain independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, laundry, appointments).
• Ensuring understanding and adherence to company policies, procedures, and codes of practice.
• Working flexible shift patterns across a 24-hour, 7-day service.

We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Assistant Support Workers to join our team in providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals who avail of our services. This Will Include The Following On a Day-to-day Basis

• Supporting individuals with planning and managing their daily activities and routines.
• Providing support to individuals while accessing and participating in their local community.
• Assisting individuals with education, skills development, and achieving their personal goals and outcomes.
• Supporting individuals to develop and maintain independent living skills, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and maintaining family and social connections.
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of, and adhering to, all Company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice, as far as is reasonably practicable.
• Working flexible shift patterns across a 24-hour, 7-day service to meet the needs of the individuals supported.

Skills Requirement

• No formal qualifications are required for this role, as comprehensive training and ongoing development opportunities will be provided.
