A prestigious university in Ireland is seeking an Assistant Professor in Film Studies to contribute to teaching and research. The successful candidate will have at least three years of post-PhD teaching experience and will be involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate mentoring as well as administrative duties. Job Description
The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to teaching, research, and administrative activities in the Department of Film, School of Creative Arts. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of academic modules in the field of Film Studies including screenwriting. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years post-PhD experience in teaching and a research profile in line with expectations at this grade. They will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate supervision and mentoring, as well as to the administrative functions of the Department and School.Post status: 5 Year Fixed Term Tenure-TrackHours of Work: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
