Kildare County is seeking to establish a panel of Assistant Civil Defence Officers to fill permanent and contract posts that arise during the life of the panel.

Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms, possess the following:

• (a) administrative experience including the use of modern IT systems
• (b) experience in record keeping and the management of budgets
• (c) experience in the supervision, leadership and management of people
• (d) experience in adult training and the delivery of training courses
• (e) experience in the management of safety and safety management systems
• (f) a good general standard of education
• (g) a full, clean Class B driving licence

Driving Licence

Applicants must at the date of application hold a full valid Irish /EU license, for Class B vehicles, or a licence acceptable to NDLS for transfer to full Irish licence, (Link below). They must be a competent driver and, shall drive a car in the course of their duties and for this purpose provide and maintain a car to the satisfaction of the local authority. The council must be indemnified on their insurance.
