Job summary

A road maintenance company is seeking a full-time Asphalt Roller Driver to operate machinery for road surfacing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety and quality during jobs in Navan and on nationwide routes. Experience with asphalt roller machinery and appropriate certifications are required. The role offers flexible working hours and a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CSCS, Safepass, or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience operating asphalt rollers on tar/asphalt jobs.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices on site.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt roller machinery safely and efficiently.
• Work as part of a surfacing crew for smooth finishes.
• Carry out pre‑start checks and basic maintenance of machinery.
• Follow all health and safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist with other site duties when required.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will operate ride‑on roller machinery to compact and finish newly laid asphalt on roads, car parks, and other surfaces, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt roller machinery safely and efficiently.
• Work as part of a surfacing crew to achieve smooth and level finishes.
• Carry out pre‑start checks and basic maintenance of machinery.
• Follow all health and safety protocols and site procedures.
• Assist with other site duties when required.

Schedule & Working Hours

Monday to Friday – Flexible working hours. Weekend availability as needed.
