The companys portfolio currently comprises of three large Super Valu Supermarkets in Balbriggan and Skerries in North County Dublin and Palmerstown, Dublin 20. The company also owns two 4* Hotels, the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, North County Dublin, and the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The company currently employs approximately 550 people.

We are currently seeking to recruit an Apprentice Butcher - 2nd/3rd year to join the butchery team in our Skerries store. The Role:

This is a full-time position working an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.

Main Duties:

• Assisting the butchery team in the day-to-day operations of this busy department
• General counter service duties
• Counter merchandising/displays
• Providing excellent customer care to all customers
• HACCP Duties

Requirements:

• Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
• A minimum of 2 years experience working as a butcher/apprentice butcher in a busy premises is essential.
• Must have a strong knowledge of fresh meat/butchery products.
• HACCP trained.
• Must have excellent customer care skills
• Must have strong people skills
• Must have strong communications skills
• Must be available to work early starts and late finishes and weekends.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
