A leading engineering solutions provider in Ireland seeks an Application and Sales Support Engineer to bridge technology and customer needs. The role involves providing technical support, conducting product demonstrations, and collaborating with customers to optimize machining processes. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of experience in the machine tool industry and strong CNC programming skills. This position requires frequent travel within Ireland to customer sites.

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Application and Sales Support Engineer. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between our cutting‑edge machine tool technologies and our valued customers, providing expert technical support, conducting product demonstrations, and assisting the sales team in achieving their targets.
Provide in-depth technical support to customers regarding the operation, programming, and maintenance of our machine tools (e.g., CNC milling, turning, grinding machines). Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, either remotely or on‑site, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations for prospective and existing customers, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of our machine tools. Develop and deliver comprehensive technical training programs for customer personnel on machine operation, programming, and advanced features.
Collaborate with customers to optimise machining processes, develop new applications, and improve overall productivity using our machine tools. Provide expert advice on tooling, fixturing, and machining parameters.
Gather and analyse customer feedback on product performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Communicate market needs and trends to the sales team to influence future product enhancements.
Provide technical assistance during machine installation and commissioning phases, ensuring smooth integration into customer facilities.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical issues, and solutions. Generate regular reports on support activities, customer satisfaction, and sales support effectiveness.
Willingness to travel frequently within Ireland to customer sites for support, demonstrations, and training.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an application engineering, field service, or technical support role within the machine tool industry.
Proven experience with CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and operation of various machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders).
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360) is highly desirable.
