Job summary

A logistics company in North County Dublin seeks an Air Freight Export Agent to manage import/export shipments. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, strong customs knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Air or Sea Freight Forwarding.
  • Strong knowledge of customs brokerage processes, regulations, and classification.
  • Familiarity with documentation processes for shipments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proactive approach.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Fluent in English, eligible for full-time onsite work.

Responsibilities

  • Entry of shipments and processing import-export orders.
  • Supporting and advising customers and agents.
  • Preparation and monitoring of quotation offers.
  • Ensuring and processing billing for customers.
  • Handling special orders and complaints.
  • Preparation of delivery dockets and customs documents.
  • Monitoring appointments and workflow documentation.
  • Supporting supervisors in projects.
  • General administrative tasks.
  • Executing Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance.

Job description

Title: Air Freight Export Agent

Location: North County Dublin

Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Office-Based, Standard Working Hours

Package: Negotiable + 25 Days Annual Leave + Healthcare + Pension

Ensure compliance with and implementation of customer-specific work processes and procedures. Responsible for the effective coordination, progress chasing and management of all required communications specific to the day-to-day import/export of shipments, in line with customer requirements and contractual agreements in place.

Responsibilities
  • Entry of shipments and processing of import-export orders
  • Supporting and advising the customers and agents
  • Preparation and monitoring of quotation offers
  • Ensuring and processing billing for customers
  • Processing of special orders, as well as complaints
  • Preparation of delivery dockets, customs documents, etc.
  • Monitoring appointments
  • Documentation and optimisation of workflows
  • Support of supervisors in projects
  • Documentation and filing of files
  • Performing general administrative tasks
  • Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).
Minimum Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Air or Sea Freight Forwarding
  • Strong knowledge of customs brokerage processes, regulations, classification, valuation, and origin procedures.
  • Familiarity with documentation processes for ocean, air, and road shipments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, organised approach to work.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Fluent in English and eligible to work full-time and permanently onsite without visa restrictions
