Job summary

Blackwater Childcare Clg in Fermoy seeks a qualified AIM Support Practitioner to join our preschool team. You will support children aged 12 months to 6 years, guiding transitions and engaging them in daily activities.

Working hours up to 35 per week within opening hours 7.30am to 6pm. A QQI Level 5 qualification and experience in childcare are required to join our supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Childcare or related field.
• Experience in the childcare sector is necessary.
• Ability to work as part of a preschool team.

Responsibilities

• Help build social connections and communicate with peers and staff.
• Guide a child through daily transitions and assist daily preschool activities.
• Create and use an Access and Inclusion Plan based on Aistear and Siolta.
• Work closely with preschool leaders, parents and visiting specialists.
• Track daily participation and share updates during regular reviews.

Blackwater Childcare Clg, is a Community Full Day Care Centre catering for children aged 12 months to 6 years.

We are currently recruiting for a qualified AIM Support Practitioner within our centre. You will work as part of a well established pre-school team to help build social connecitons and communicate with peers and staff. Guide a child / children smoothly through daily transitions and assist them to engage in daily preschool activities. Our supportive environment will provide you the opportunity to create and use an Access and Inclusion Plan based on national frameworks like Aistear and Siolta. Work closely with preschool leaders, parents and visiting specialists. Track the child / childrens daily participation and share updates during regualr reviews.

This is a full time job with hours to a maximum of 35 per week within our daily opening hours of 7.30am to 6pm.

A minimum QQI Level 5 qualification is required for candidates and experience working within the childcare sector is necessary.
