Job summary

Northern Trust in County Limerick is looking for an experienced professional to design and operationalize Azure cloud infrastructure, build AI agents, and implement CI/CD pipelines. The role involves mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices in Azure.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Computer Science and have a strong background in Azure services, Infrastructure as Code, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize AI agents and intelligent automation tooling.
• Automate cloud deployments, including network, storage, compute, and monitoring resources.
• Implement scalable log ingestion and data pipeline solutions, including migration and onboarding of complex data sources across the security platform.
• Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks and best practices using Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and management of infrastructure.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in Azure best practices, IaC, and cloud architecture design.
• Design and implement robust security practices and policies in line with Azure’s security standards (e.g., Azure Security Center, Key Vault).

• Proven hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with architecting, designing, and building AI agents.
• Expertise in Azure services including Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, and Monitoring.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Proven experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for cloud‑based infrastructure deployments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
