Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks college students to support an AI robotics data collection project. You will perform hands-on tasks with UMI gripper devices to collect data for training next-generation robotic AI systems.

No prior robotics or AI experience is required, and you will work on-site in San Francisco with detailed protocols and close coordination with project staff. Responsibilities include following instructions precisely, documenting observations, and reporting issues.

Qualifications

• Good fine motor skills, dexterity and precision are required.
• Reliable, punctual and accountable behavior is essential.
• Comfort with repetitive physical tasks and long periods of focused work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills are important.
• Hands-on experience in related fields is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a handheld UMI gripper device to perform repetitive manipulation tasks such as picking up objects and opening containers.
• Follow detailed instructions and protocols precisely to ensure consistent data collection.
• Reset physical environments between tasks and verify data quality.
• Identify and report hardware issues, unclear instructions, or recording problems.
• Maintain accuracy and focus during repetitive hands-on activities.
• Document observations and communicate issues or process improvements.
• Work closely with project coordinators and other team members.
