Job summary

Circle seeks an Accountant to own end-to-end accounting across operating costs, payroll, and assets, driving quality controls and analytics with AI automation. You will manage month-end close, prepare schedules and SEC disclosures, and support audits in a global, fast-paced environment.

You will work with cross-border teams to ensure accurate financial reporting in line with U.S. GAAP and internal controls, while continuously improving processes and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience.
• ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Strong problem solving and data analysis skills.
• Ability to work across time zones with global teams.
• Experience with audit, ICFR and SOX requirements.
• Interest in AI/automation to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and quarter-end accounting activities for operating costs, payroll, share-based compensation, fixed and intangible assets, and leases.
• Handle cash transactions and large accounting datasets with AI-enabled tools.
• Analyze balance sheet and P&L movements and explain drivers with evidence-based commentary.
• Understand business activity and apply U.S. GAAP; escalate complex matters.
• Prepare schedules, financial reporting and assigned SEC disclosures; perform ICFR and SOX controls.
• Take ownership of problems and drive resolution across Finance and the business.
• Support audit, tax and compliance requirements with high-quality documentation.
• Use AI/automation to improve speed, quality and scalability while maintaining governance.
