Job summary

EY is seeking an AI & Data – Director to lead client engagements and shape outcomes across Ireland’s major cities. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed data analytics into client strategies and deliver high‑impact solutions on high‑profile projects.

You will manage diverse teams, coach talent, and build trusted advisor relationships while advancing EY’s AI & Data capabilities and brand in the market.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in AI & Data with proven impact from complex datasets.
• Completed degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD).
• Relevant consulting or industry experience with management responsibilities.

Location: Ireland – Dublin / Cork / Limerick / Galway

The Team and the Opportunity

As part of our AI & Data team, this role is pivotal in enabling our clients to derive significant value from their information assets. Through collaboration and domain expertise, the team embeds innovative AI & Data solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategic assets. The director will lead client engagements, develop new and existing client relationships, and deliver a first‑class customer experience on high‑profile projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Help clients unlock value from their information assets by collaborating with domain experts across assurance, tax, transactions, and advisory, embedding innovative data analytics solutions.
• Lead diverse teams with varying skillsets and data/analytics technologies.
• Adapt leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs, anticipating and identifying risks and escalating issues as appropriate.
• Create a positive learning culture, coaching and counseling junior team members to develop.
• Bring energy, enthusiasm, and courage to lead and develop others, contributing to team growth.
• Use knowledge and experience to craft innovative insights that add value to clients and society.
• Champion operational efficiency improvements on projects and internal initiatives, consistently driving projects to completion with high quality.
• Build the AI & Data team’s brand by attending relevant events, collaborating with internal teams, and producing thought leadership.
• Establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships; identify potential business opportunities for EY to incubate or drive new solutions and services.

To qualify for the role, you must have.

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in AI & Data, with a proven track record of creating impactful visual stories from complex datasets.
• A completed degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD).
• Relevant consulting or industry experience with significant management responsibilities.

Ideally, you will also have.

• Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop others, effectively communicate, manage budgets, set client expectations, and deliver quality projects on time.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical colleagues and clients.
• Ambition to continuously develop your skills and abilities.
• Analytical mindset and ability to assimilate and apply new techniques and knowledge to deliver insights and solve problems.
