Job summary

Alignerr is seeking chemistry experts to help train and improve AI models. Your advanced knowledge will shape how AI reasons through complex scientific problems and contribute to cutting-edge research.

This is a fully remote hourly contract with flexible scheduling. You will design chemistry problems, craft clear step-by-step solutions, evaluate AI outputs, and collaborate with researchers across master-level topics.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field.
• Strong problem-solving ability across advanced chemistry domains.
• Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously.
• No prior AI or data annotation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging chemistry problems across domains like chemical engineering, biochemistry, and physical chemistry to rigorously test AI performance.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate rigorous scientific reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, logic, and depth of understanding.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry topics.
• Provide structured, high-quality feedback that directly improves AI model outputs.
